Historical Wednesday: Johannes Brateng - The healer, the man and the story

  • Ørnes trading post 13 Havneveien Ørnes , Nordland, 8150 Norway (map)

Tove Mette Maeland from Fauske Bygdetun has worked for a number of years on the collection and stories related to the local healer, Johannes Brateng from Leivset. In this lecture, she provides an exciting insight into Brateng's life and work, and why he has gained such a strong place in local history.

The public is also invited to share their own memories and stories about Johannes Brateng, and thus help keep the stories alive.
