The Nordlandsmuseet Foundation has a well-run FDVU department (management, operations, maintenance and development) with skilled professionals and special expertise in building conservation and traditional crafts.

If you need an inspection and/or maintenance, the department can help with this.

We can offer:

  • Inspection and condition assessments of older buildings

  • Guidance in traditional building practices, masonry and wood

  • Guidance regarding hedging and ROS analyses

We have expertise in:

  • Masonry and paint, including lime mortar and color analyses

  • No coverage

  • Restoration of listed buildings

  • Security work, ROS analyses and applications

Conservation services

The Nordlandsmuseet Foundation has a qualified artefact conservator with extensive experience in the field.

Our conservator is a member of the Norwegian section of the Nordic Association of Conservators. This is a professional association for conservators and other professional groups in Norway who work with the conservation and restoration of objects, buildings and structures of artistic, cultural and natural history value.
