Thursday at Dekk: Knitting evening and launch of the Jekte sweater in collaboration with Hardbarka

  • The Jekt trade museum 26 Kvernhusveien Bodø, Nordland, 8070 Norway (map)

Welcome to a special Thursday at Dekk hos The Jekt trade museum – remember to bring your knitting!

Together with Robert Torrisen – perhaps better known as Hardbarka – we are launching the Jekte Sweater in the form of a knitting pattern, inspired by fishermen and sailors who lived a life where the weather was decisive and courage had to be greater than fear.

This is not just a sweater. It is a story about men and women who took risks at sea, who stood in the storms and came home with salt in their hair and stories in their eyes.

At Hardbarka, every garment has a story. This time, the story is woven into ropes, oars, rough sails and worn fists – and into the people who lived from the sea. The Jekte sweater carries with it something of their strength, stubbornness and warmth.

*The sweater you see in the event photo is not related to the throwaway sweater*

The event will consist of:
• Raffle of a ✨finished knitted✨ sweater (your entrance ticket is raffled)
• Possibility to purchase a knitting package in four different colors
• Panel discussion between Hardbarka and Nordlandsmuseet
• Open cafe
• The book "Hardbarka Strikk" will be available for sale and signing.
• Opportunity to visit the exhibition
