Løp farm
On the way to Kjerringøy, there is a hidden gem that takes you on a journey to the world of the upper classes - welcome to Løp farm!
The farm has housed a number of eras, where both civil servants, yacht captains and the shipping nobility are represented. Visiting the main building today is like stepping back to the 19th century. Here you can enjoy freshly brewed coffee in the idyllic garden surrounded by historic flowers or taste lemon cake in the Grandma's Room.
Several exciting details have been uncovered in the house, such as layers of historic wallpaper – a rare luxury in Norway in the 18th and 19th centuries that was a symbol of wealth and status. Much of the old interior is still preserved, creating a nostalgic atmosphere in the building.
The houses from the 18th and 19th centuries carry with them a lot of history and many eras, but today's exhibition consists largely of the interior of the last residents of the farm, the sisters Hanna and Arnolda Krogh Hansen, also known as "The Misses of the Farm". Løp » – two useful ladies. Their commitment to Løp The farm lives on today, and in the summer you can taste their famous lemon cake. Outside there is both a berry garden and a flower garden, with historic perennials and roses.

History of the museum
Agriculture was practiced, perhaps from the very beginning of Løp farm. And there were not small areas to take. From the place name we must believe that the farm Løpsmarka further south also belonged to Løp from ancient times, and thus we are talking about a total area of almost 6 ½ square kilometers.
Løp The farm today consists of the farmhouses, which the Nordlandsmuseet took over responsibility for in 2004. The farm has a history dating back to the Iron Age, and has been home to county magistrates, futs and yacht skippers throughout the ages. The last people to live here were the sisters Arnolda and Hanna Krogh-Hansen, after whom Bodø Municipality took over ownership of the farm. The municipality's cultural office was responsible for extensive restoration in the 1980s.
