The purpose of the collaboration is to highlight and communicate Sami languages ​​through an introductory course in Southern Sami, Lule Sami and Northern Sami, led by Kirsi Máret Paltto. Kirsi Máret Paltto represents ABC-Company E-skuvla AS, organized by Bymuseet i Bodø and Stormen Sami Center.

The course gives participants an introduction to the three Sami languages ​​and an understanding of the similarities and differences between the languages, while also introducing participants to simple words and expressions.
The course is unique and differs from other language courses offered by schools or libraries.

Rather than focusing on in-depth language training, the course aims to increase participants' understanding and awareness of the similarities and differences between the Sami languages. No prior knowledge of Sami languages ​​is required to participate.

The course is part of Sami language week 2026 and is organized in the conference hall at Bymuseet i Bodø 20 and 21 October, every day at 16.00–18.00.

Each course day consists of:
● 45 minute lesson
● 30 minute break
● 45 minute lesson
During the break, participants will be served food.
