Evening gatherings were traditionally a time of socializing where family and farm workers would gather, often in the kitchen. In the hour before it got completely dark, they would tell stories, tell fairy tales, or just sit and chat. Knitting and other needlework were also invented.

We invite you to an evening reception in the rectory at Beiarn Folk Museum Museum facilitators Eirin Edvardsen and Lasse Frøshaug will start by sharing some of their own stories and legends, but we would also like to hear your stories from Beiarn or elsewhere. Legends, childhood memories, from the old days or some real tales.
