From June 22 to August 9, Gildeskål Church site open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Last admission is at 4:00 p.m. It is not possible to freely enter the churches – all visits are guided.

Guided tour of the medieval church Here you can learn about the church's history, architecture and social life, told through what we can see in the church today. The tour is offered in Norwegian and English. The church is accessible to wheelchair users.
Guided tour of the church site We follow human activity at Gildeskål from the year 200, with burial mounds from the Iron Age, traces of stone extraction on the rocky cliffs, distinctive place names and the cemetery. The tour provides a greater understanding of why the church site was built here. The tour is in Norwegian. Please note that there is limited access for people with reduced mobility.
