On Friday, September 11th, Kjerringøy crafts club and Kjerringøy school invite you to an activity day! The event is open to the public between 10:00-13:00, and here it is the students who get to try out the various activities. The public is very welcome to come by to watch, listen and ask questions along the way.

Fjøsen café is open from 11:30-15:00.

Activities:
- Row a Nordland boat
- Bake flatbread
- Clean eider down
- Saw/split firewood
- Make jump ropes with Reperbahn
- Clink or plan the year with the boat builder

During the period 10:00-13:00 there will be free area tickets (not guided tours) at Kjerringøy. trading post . A warm welcome

Cultural heritage and traditions are under threat. Not just the physical traces – such as buildings, cultural landscapes and crafts – but also the intangible heritage: language, knowledge, stories and practices that bind societies together.

– What heritage are we at risk of losing?
– Who decides what should be preserved?
– How can local communities participate and take responsibility?

Through Cultural Heritage Days 2026, organizers across the country are invited to explore how both small and large cultural heritage elements are at risk – and how we can together protect and promote them.
