Saturday, September 12th, Kjerringøy invites trading post and Kjerringøy handicraft club into a living museum - full of activities.
The museum is open between 11:00-16:00, Fjøsen café and the kramboden are open between 11:30-15:00.
You can participate in these activities between 12:00-14:00:
- Down cleaning
- Flatbread baking
- Rope path
- Row a Nordland boat
- Activity trail with old toys on the beach
- At 3:00 PM there is a free lecture with boat builder Ulf Mikalsen

Cultural heritage at risk. In a world characterized by the climate crisis, war, digital transformation and increased mobility, more and more cultural monuments and traditions are under threat. Not only the physical traces – such as buildings, cultural landscapes and crafts – but also the intangible heritage: language, knowledge, stories and practices that bind societies together.

– How can local communities participate and take responsibility?
Through Cultural Heritage Days 2026, organizers across the country are invited to explore how both small and large cultural heritage elements are at risk – and how we can together protect and promote them.
