Conversation with Bjørn Tore Pedersen and Nordlandsmuseet : Anna Caroline 150 years

  • The Jekt Trade Museum 26 Kvernhusveien Bodø , Nordland, 8070 Norway (map)

Anna Karoline is the world's only originally preserved Nordlandjekt, and has a history dating back to 1876. In 2026, she will be 150 years old, and on that occasion we invite you to an exciting conversation with author Bjørn Tore Pedersen. He is behind the books "Anna Karoline – The Fairy Tale's Craft" and "Jekta – The Fairy Tale's Craft".

In the conversation led by Magnus Sivertsen Sørvig, Anna Karoline and the history of the ships are the topic of the evening. We will take a closer look at when Anna Karoline was built in 1876, and right up until The Jekt Trade Museum was built around her. We will also look at the significance of the jetties to the people along the coast, and why this history is so important to preserve.

The conversation will take place in the amphitheater, in front of Anna Karoline, the jubilee.
