The exhibitions

Made in Bodø

The exhibition “Made in Bodø ” invites you into the city's industrial heritage. Here you can learn about workshops and factories throughout the 20th century, and reflect on how local industry, production and working life have left their mark – on the city, on society and on people. The exhibition shows original objects, stories and memories from a time when “made in Bodø » was a given, and asks questions that concern us all - What have we lost when production is moved out? What can we gain by bringing back more local production? How can the experiences of the past inspire a more sustainable future?

Chronology of Urgencies

The exhibition “Chronology of Urgencies” presents artworks by Elle-Hánsa (Sami name), Keviselie (artist name) and Hans Ragnar Mathisen (Norwegian name) from the collection of Riddu Duottar Museat (RDM).

The exhibition is a chronological presentation of a small selection of Mathisen's works from the early 1970s to the present day, including his recent collaboration with Taiwanese, Tromsø-based artist Lin Pei-Han. The chronology of the artistic production is closely intertwined with the struggle for indigenous rights, and the exhibition invites the audience to reflect on Sami cultural heritage and Sami art.
