We are looking for summer hosts for several of our museums.

Nordlandsmuseet is looking for mediators and summer hosts for several of our museums in the summer season 2026. The position is suitable for those who enjoy working with people, mediation and the public, and who want a summer job in a historical setting.

As a summer host, you will meet the public in the museums, provide simple communication, contribute to daily operations and ensure that visitors have a good experience. Job duties and work location vary between museums.

"I have worked at the City Museum since 2025. What I like best about the job is that no two days are exactly the same. I meet many new people – both locals and tourists from all over the world – and get to work with communication, reception and the café. The variety makes the job exciting." - says Kaja Nohr (19) and continues:

We are looking for someone who is service-minded, responsible and comfortable meeting the public. Experience in communication, museums or customer service is an advantage, but not a requirement. Training will be provided. Vacancies are linked to several of our museum facilities.
