Guided tour of Sulitjelma Mining Museum

Join a tour of the Sulitjelma Mining Museum and gain insight into the unique history of mining in Sulitjelma. The collections consist of equipment from all the disciplines of the mining company, and unique exhibitions about minerals, the labor movement, transportation history and sports.

Practical information

  • The tour takes approximately 1 hour.

  • Max 20 people per group (possible to run two groups at the same time)

  • Available in Norwegian and English (English must be notified in advance)

  • Photography is permitted without the use of flash

  • Available all year round

Prices for guided tours on request

  • Weekdays 8:00 AM–4:00 PM:

    • Adults NOK 90, students/honors NOK 70.

    • Children under 18 have free entry.

    • Groups (min. 10 paying) NOK 70 per person.

  • In the evenings and on weekends: basic price NOK 2,500 plus NOK 70 per person.

Facilities

Museum shop. Picnic benches outside during the summer season. Wheelchair ramp into the museum. Exhibitions are located on the ground floor and basement. There are only stairs down to the basement — no elevator or ramp. Toilet in the basement. Free parking.
