Guided tour of Saltdal Folk Museum

The guide will take you on a walk through the history of Saltdalen. You will hear about the operation and bankruptcy of Skippergården, see the boats in the yard, visit Myrlandsstua and the schoolhouse from Dverset.

Practical information

  • The tour takes approximately 30 minutes.

  • Groups of maximum 30 people.

  • Available in Norwegian and English (English must be notified in advance)

  • Photography is permitted without the use of flash

  • Available all year round

Prices for guided tours on request

  • Weekdays 8:00 AM–4:00 PM: NOK 70 per person, minimum 10 paying guests.

  • Groups of less than 10 people still pay a minimum of NOK 700.

  • Children have free entry.

  • In the evenings and on weekends: basic price NOK 2,500 plus NOK 70 per person.

Facilities

Svelecafé and museum shop in the summer season. Free parking. Toilets in Skippergården. The houses on the Folk Museum has not undergone adaptations for disabilities.
