Join us in the wondrous world of down and eiders!
At the family workshop, young and old alike can learn about the life of the eider and the bird keeper in Vega through pictures, lights and stories. Bird keeper Vibeke Steinsholm takes you into the adventures of island life and tells about the very special interaction between humans and eider.

The story takes about 30 minutes, and here you get to both feel and clean down. After the story, the children get to make their own bird through drawing and clay.

Why visit the exhibition at this workshop?
Birdwatchers Vibeke Steinsholm and Monika Ravnanger who have a temporary exhibition at The Jekt Trade Museum. In the exhibition they have looked at old textiles that kept people warm and protected them from the weather when they worked on or by the sea. The artists mixed old craft techniques with new ideas and draw inspiration from the sea, the light, the weather and life along the coast.
