The Little Harvest of the Field - that's where I hear the news (before the fan)!
From the kitchen corner, humorist Kristian juggles his own interpretation of Hamsun's Nobel Prize-winning novel with anecdotes, readings and stories. Aided only by the kitchen utensils he has at hand.
Kristian Fr. Figenschow mirrors Hamsun's Growth of the Soil in Northern Norwegian storytelling tradition and theatre history.
Knut Nærum was asked to write a piece for Kristian Figenschow based on Growth of the Soil . While Kristian was cheering and working on the text, he discovered that "this book is the start of the North Norwegian storytelling tradition!" And not only that - he saw that Hamsun's masterpiece also reflects the groundbreaking work that was carried out during the establishment of Hålogaland Teater! An actor in great form thus highlights important parts of our history in this humorous and entertaining performance.
In addition to grades from Growth of the Soil , we meet characters brought to life by the storytellers who came after Hamsun: Zapffe, Dybwad, Arntzen and more.
