On 28 and 29 June, Performance Studies in Sápmi brought together artists, researchers and performance artists from Sápmi, Norway, Finland, the USA and Lithuania in Bodø The festival was initiated in 2024 by Marija Griniuk, department head in Nordlandsmuseet , as part of her postdoctoral research on political performance art.

Via Querinissima is officially certified as a Cultural Route of the Council of Europe. This means that The Jekt Trade Museum in Bodø is now part of a European cultural network that stretches from Venice to Northern Norway.

May 18 is International Museum Day, and this year the day is about how museums can build bridges between people across culture, society and geography. Nordlandsmuseet marks the day with a 50% discount on entrance tickets at Kjerringøy trading post , City Museum in Bodø and The Jekt Trade Museum from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd May. 

In June, academics, artists, social actors, local residents and researchers will gather at Røst and in Bodø to explore the concept of "hospitality." A project inspired by a story from the 15th century.
